WHAT IS
OT?

Occupational therapy is the therapeutic use of activities to help children of all ages and abilities gain or re-gain every day skills - playing, eating, writing, dressing, etc. OT's are excellent problem solvers and are an essential part of any developmental team.

Does my child need
Therapy?

If your child is struggling to function in any area of life, an evaluation will give you all the information you need to decide if OT services are right for him/her.

Do kids have an
Occupation

The primary occupation of children is PLAY! An occupation is any meaningful activity that occupies one's time. School, self-care, chores, and play are all activities that are an important part of being a kid.

PRIMITIVE REFLEX INTEGRATION

It can be hard to watch your child struggle with reading, writing, or even emotional regulation. Retained primitive reflexes can be a simple reason for continued dysfunction or delays.

HANDWRITING SERVICES

If handwriting is your main concern, a combination of approaches may be best to improve this important skill. We build the just-right combination of strengthening, coordination, reflex work, and visual perception activities into treatment sessions. Your child will be less resistant to writing (and his teacher will be thrilled, too)!

SENSORY INTEGRATION TECHNIQUES

If you have a nervous system, you have sensory needs - that means everyone!  But when your child's sensory needs are impacting his ability to function during the day, it may be time to find some sensory strategies to bring some balance back.

OCULAR MOTOR TESTING

If your eyes don't work well together, any activity can be challenging!  Making sure your child's eye muscles are strong and coordinated enough to support their academics is an important part of the evaluation and treatment process.
